Needlesstosay, when I do get going, and put Domination as ONLY victory condition, it stops the game at the post-Information age, and if I have not captured a capitol, LOSER! I can hear you thinking, "Civilazation is not a "war" game, it's faith, science, government.ect". It also doesn't seem to allow me to dictate the number of other countrys in the game. What I suspect is that I have City-States set to 0, but some of the leaders that I have chosen to go against must be just that. WTF is a City State, anyway? Costa Rica is the only country in the world without a standing army, so are they the model for this kind of country? I customm made start (as America) and chose enemies- but then the game says no-go, because something is wrong.what? Doesn't say.
I really dislike the "city-state" players, who make trouble by blocking access to enemies and only seem good for trading- however, I cannot figure out how to identify a real world country as a "city-state".
I like playing domination- so much funner as a gamer to have combat, ect, rather than watching cities build universities and stupas. 1st is the time limit, and often the (inexplicable) inability to keep playing when timer runs out. So there are a few things that bum me out. I have spent a lot of time (gulp) in the last 2 weeks playing it. I pre-ordered from Gamestop and was there waiting.

Love Civ, and got the 1st that was released on PC years ago, then the super dumbed down version for PS4 called just Civilization.
